Montell Jordan - 'This Is How We Do It'
Ok so perhaps this isn't entirely forgotten, in fact I downloaded this last week after having heard it in the 'reunion' scene of the new American Pie film. I'd forgotten just how JOYOUS this track is. A real summer track to line up alongside 'Summertime' by The Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Eternal - 'Just A Step From Heaven'
I can't say I was ever a massive fan of Eternal (I was more of a boyband fan in the 90's, alongside the majority of girls my age) but you cannot deny that Esther could SIIIING! Shame she wasted it on that song with Bebe Winans that is forever doomed to attack our eardrums from Magic FM. This is by far their best song, the production encapsulates the 90's sound perfectly (as does 'I Got 5 On It', incidentally).
I'm not sure what provoked such a 90's assault on my iTunes, but there you go. Also on current rotation are 'Return Of The Mack' by Mark Morrison, 'C U When You Get There' by Coolio and 'The Boy Is Mine' by Brandy & Monica.
