Looking Back....

In the long, arduous 3 months since I started this blog, the popular music landscape has become a very different place. It's a fast paced world and I can't keep up. Looking back even over my humble posts, I can with hindsight note:

• 'Diet Mountain Dew' DID make it onto the Lana Del Rey album. The album was indeed fabulous.
• 'Starships' WAS a huge hit. There is STILL no video for it.
• Katy Perry DID put 'Part of Me' on the Teenage Dream rerelease. It DID go to number 1 both sides of the pond. My psychic powers DID NOT predict that she would cover Jay Z and Kanye but my oh my, wasn't it good?
• Gotye DID refuse to go away with his baa baa black sheep rubbish. It DID NOT get any less irritating.
• Sky Ferreira DID NOT release any new music :(

 So now, in the interests of predicting the future, I'm going to stick my neck out and say THIS will be big:

This is Gotye style melodic credible manpop DONE RIGHT. Infectious but like laughter, not STI's. My prediction.

Ok so it already got to number 1 in the states but shhhhhhhhhhhh, noone needs to know that...
